Creative Classes for Imaginative Innovators.
jrCode classes are focused on allowing K-8 kids to discover the world of code through project-based classes that are fun and educational. Each of our eight-weeklong classes are facilitated by trained Coding Coaches from throughout the education and computer science industries. By the end of each class, students will learn coding concepts, build projects and begin the journey of coding discovery!
Little Learners Classes
Our Little Learners classes introduce Kindergarten and 1st grade students to coding through the ScratchJr platform. This is a place where they can discover coding in a drag-and-drop setting that is fun and interactive!
Pre-Game: Create gaming programs based on familiar playground games, such as tag, sharks and minnows and even a mini-golf game. Find Locations >
Pre-Animation: Create the beginnings of a fun story by crafting animations and characters. Find Locations >
Our Core Classes use the Scratch platform and are designed to help elementary and middle school students discover the world of coding, making their imaginations come to life. We know that all students learn differently, but we see most students succeeding at each level based on these guidelines: Level 1 = Grades 2-5, Level 2 = Grades 4-8.
jrCode offers two Foundation Classes designed to meet the needs of different age groups. Our Foundations class is designed for children in grades 2-5 while our Accelerated Foundations class is created for older students in grades 4-8. Upon completion of jrCode’s Foundational programming, students can explore specialized classes.
